Matrix Business Solutions was founded in 2001 as a general tax and accounting business. During its first years, Matrix focussed on developing a systematic approach to account keeping so that "clean sets of books" were ready for tax return preparation. Over successive years, Matrix grew its bookkeeping service. In 2007, Matrix Business Solutions joined accountancy practice, Arabon, to establish a new audit and account keeping division.
Arabon, itself, began business over 20 years ago in Brisbane's western suburbs. Originally established to service the tax needs of local clientele, its business has expanded significantly to icorporate high level accounting, due diligence and business advice services. Today, there is an incredibly diverse client base from individuals to medium-size businesses.
Our audit skills, which include more than 25 years of audit experience, lend themselves to the audit of Self Managed Super Funds (SMSFs).
Our PeopleOur Principal, Michelle McDowall CPA, trained with the Australian Tax Office as a general tax auditor and went on to specialise as a superannuation fund auditor. She completed her time with the ATO approving superannuation fund trust deeds prior to leaving and establishing her own accountancy practice.
Linda Logan CPA also trained with the ATO before heading west to manage cattle stations and work part-time with local accounting firms. Upon her return to Brisbane, she joined Matrix and today specialises in SMSF audit work.
Janice, Marguerite and Patricia form our bookkeeping team They are skilled in the use of a variety of accounting packages including QyuickBooks, MYOB, Profit Pak and Attache. Their collective knowledge and the systems Robert has built allow them to work quickly and accurately with a wide variety of businesses.
